If a student would shadow with me they would see the many things I do. I open new accounts and teach customers how banking has changed. I work with them and show them how to use ATMs, on-line banking and mobile deposits. I also work on the teller line handling transactions. I take many on-line training classes to learn what is new in banking.

You need to have good listening skills to understand what the customers' needs are. Knowing computers is needed in my job. Working well with people is an asset also needed.
I find that being a good listener, bilingual, and working together with your staff to present better solutions for the customer is key to the Customer Experience. Other important skills you must have are as follows; good listener, great team player, and a willingness to learn new things and implement them into everyday situations.
