Digital Communications and Multimedia

Major

Overview

The prefix multi means “many” -- and as a student of digital communications and multimedia, you’ll have a chance to master far more forms of digital media than you might have imagined. As you learn the basics of computer programming, graphic design, and audio and video production, you’ll create computer animation, build websites, and put together CD-ROMs and DVDs.

And that’s not all: you’ll also study the business of multimedia, including marketing, law, and distribution. There’s a lot to learn, but digital-media specialists are in demand in nearly every corner of the business world. Those late nights in the computer lab should be well worth your time.
