About Dipti
- My dad was a certified public accountant (CPA), so I grew up hearing all about accounting as a career field.
- In high school, I thought I wanted to be a doctor until I started taking biology and realized I couldn’t handle dissecting things.
- Decided to apply to colleges as a business major—I initially resisted becoming an accounting major, until I took a few accounting classes and realized that was my true passion.
- Attended Lehigh University, where I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Began interning at Deloitte before I graduated and later got a full-time job in their New York office working in the financial services sector.
- Attended Columbia University, where I earned my master’s degree in finance.
- Worked in Deloitte’s London office for three years before returning to New York; I’m now running our financial audit practice in the New York area.
- I also serve as a board member for United Way of New York City, as well as a member of their audit and resource development committees.
