About Tracy
- I started my nursing journey after graduating from the University of Kentucky in 1992.
- I was frustrated to begin in med-surg, but it became the foundation that allowed me to work confidently in any nursing specialty.
- Over the years, I worked in CVICU, pediatrics, oncology, home health, and more—if you name it, I’ve probably done it.
- Inspired by my mother’s struggles accessing healthcare without insurance, I joined Shepherd’s Hope, wanting to give back.
- I turned the heartbreaking loss of my son into purpose by educating others through Teen Challenge at Shepherd’s Hope.
- During COVID, I was the only nurse at Shepherd’s Hope—I still showed up daily to serve the community despite the fear and risk.
- I became a Guardian ad Litem and advocate for babies born with drug addiction in the NICU, ensuring they got the care they needed.
- After decades of experience, I now volunteer to teach underserved patients, sharing not only care but wisdom and dignity.
