About Japit
- I didn’t initially plan on becoming a nurse, but my mom suggested it as a stable path—I gave it a try and it soon became my calling.
- In nursing school, I was drawn to pediatrics during my practicum, even though I hadn’t planned on working with kids.
- I started as a surgical nurse, then became a charge nurse in the emergency room where I learned to handle high-stakes situations.
- Encouraged by mentors and leaders, I pursued a leadership role as an operations administrator, stepping into hospital-wide responsibilities.
- I also went back to school for a master’s degree in business, which gave me insight into healthcare management and helped me see the bigger picture in nursing.
