About Nick
- I’ve always had an interest in public service and knew from a young age that I wanted to become a teacher.
- I began my college journey at a community college and then completed my bachelor’s degree in history and political science through Harvard University’s extension studies program.
- I started my teaching career as a substitute teacher and then moved on to become a Teach for America corps member.
- I then taught U.S. history, government, and economics at Central High School in Lowndes County, Alabama, for three years.
- I made a shift to Capitol Hill where I worked as a legislative fellow and then a legislative assistant.
- I now work as the Director of the Governor's Office of Education and Workforce Transformation for Alabama Governor Kay Ivey.
