About Jeff
- I earned my bachelor’s degree in Spanish language and literature but wasn’t really sure what to do with my degree.
- I got a job working in a restaurant to pay the bills while I tried to figure out my path.
- I shared about my background in language and my interest in working with people at a coworker’s Halloween party and was connected with the opportunity to teach adult learners.
- I got started in the education field working with adult immigrant and refugee students learning English and participating in a family education program.
- Through that work, I learned a lot about family engagement and how the National Center for Families Learning supports organizations in those efforts.
- I now work as a training specialist for the National Center for Families Learning.
