About Luis
- I grew up in Salinas, California, and was the son of farmworkers.
- I wasn’t a great student throughout secondary school but I really flourished in college—I realized that I liked to learn and do research.
- I earned my bachelor’s degree in social behavioral sciences from California State University, Monterey Bay.
- After graduating, I started my career in public service doing outreach work and providing services to the community I came from.
- I’ve since built my career in public service.
- I currently serve as the executive director for Building Skills Partnership, which helps to improve the quality of life for property service workers and their families.
