About Saliyah
- I initially thought I wanted to become a doctor.
- I spent a couple of years as a biology major and tried out medical assistant school but realized that I didn’t actually enjoy science.
- After a five-year break, I went back to school to pursue communications.
- I earned my associate degree in communications studies while working and raising two kids.
- I work in public relations and marketing for the Office of College Relations and Marketing at Austin Community College and as a career services advisor at the College of Health Care Professions.
- After I complete my bachelor’s degree, I plan to build my career in public relations.
