My name is Shani George. I am a registered nurse. I am currently a co founder of a home health care Delta excellence home health care agency. I'm from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, born and raised. I have my first son, freshman year of college. I thought that life was over I didn't think that I could actually like persevere and become a nurse because he was premature, which means that I absolutely could not be in school. But I persevered through and nursing was where it was. I've always had that compassion, I've always liked the medical field, I just wanted to be a nurse because I thought it was so cool. And that I could help people and I could learn a lot and like I said yes I run a home health care agency. However it's more important to me to make my home health care agency not just be about health. I attach it to everything just given back to so much more than Just having a home healthcare. That was one of the things that I knew when I wanted to open up my home healthcare that it wasn't gonna just be your regular home healthcare. I wanted to make sure that I could actually tap into the community.

I had my first son during my first year of college. He was premature, so I had to leave school to take care of him. I was determined to become a nurse, so when my son was stable enough, I wrote to the university and they allowed me to come back.

My day-to-day involves writing policies and procedures, organizational strategy, meetings, phone calls, and emails.
