About Peter
- I was born in rural England.
- My parents encouraged me to become a teacher, so I went to college and studied history with the goal of becoming a teacher.
- After college, I did some post-graduate work and got into educational publishing, which I realized I would enjoy better than teaching.
- As I developed my career in publishing, I moved from the United Kingdom to Sydney, Australia, before ultimately landing in New York.
- I’ve worked for a variety of companies but the through-line has always been publishing.
- In 2021, I was named president and CEO of Scholastic, an educational and children’s publishing company.
