About Chloe
- I lived in China until I was ten years old and then moved to Chicago, Illinois.
- I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I studied international studies, French, and business.
- After graduating, I started my career as a teacher with Teach For America—I was placed at a Title I school in Phoenix, Arizona.
- I went back to school to earn a certificate in elementary education and teaching from Rio Salado College while continuing to work as an elementary school teacher.
- I spent four years teaching but ultimately decided that it wasn’t the right fit for my personality, so I moved back to Chicago to work in sales and marketing for a couple of tech start-ups.
- I pivoted again to work in fundraising for a nonprofit.
- Throughout my journey, I had been coaching my girlfriends as a hobby and I finally decided to turn that hobby into a business.
- I created Moonrise Purpose Coaching, through which I help women make a mid-career pivot and find work that fulfills them.
