Day In The Life Of A Chief Opportunity Officer

My Day to Day

I work to eliminate the wealth gap by empowering America's workforce. My day involves strategizing with employers like Walmart and Disney to enhance their talent and economic mobility. I lead a team of coaches who guide career transitions and connect individuals with necessary skills. I also consult internally to align efforts with our mission. Hearing success stories of people overcoming challenges and achieving excellence fuels my passion, making every day about creating equal opportunities.

Skills & Education

Advice for getting started

Listing your skills on a resume necessary but not sufficient. You need to show potential employers those skills. Do the job, in whatever small way you can, before getting the job. For example, if you want to get into sales, show that you're persistent and persuasive enough to get into that office. If you want to get into web design, take a screenshot of a company's website and send it back with your critiques it and suggestion to showcase your work.

Here's the path I took:

  • High School

  • Bachelor's Degree

    Finance

    University of Colorado Boulder
