My road in life has taken me all over.
I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in mechanical engineering.
After graduating, I moved to Chicago, Illinois, to work as a mechanical engineer for Motorola Mobility.
I spent two years with Motorola Mobility before deciding to move back to Colorado, where I continued to work in mechanical engineering for Ball Aerospace.
While working as an engineer, I knew that I wanted to ultimately get into more of the business side, so I went back to school for my MBA.
I was able to transition into business development for Ball Aerospace and work on a business case for a fuel cell product.
I eventually left Ball Aerospace to spend some time raising a family and then decided to go back to school again for my Ph.D.
After realizing that I did not want to continue the path to becoming a business school professor, I looked for a place to relaunch my career and found a utility innovations position with Excel Energy.
I’ve been with Excel Energy ever since and have worked my way up to my current position as director of development and governance for the clean transportation team.
Keep following my journey
