Life & Career Milestones

My path in life took a while to figure out

  • 1.

    During COVID-19 I developed a medical condition

  • 2.

I was able to overcome my medical condition and gain and renew my self confidence.

  • 3.

Returned to college but I was unsure of a major and started to explore.

  • 4.

Decided on a major, did lots of research on studio arts, and went above and beyond to be prepared for what awaits for me in the future.

Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Society in general:

Animators don't get the credit they deserve. Making animation is not a real job. Animators only work for kids' movies and games. They do quite a lot of work for a small moment in the spotlight in the credits of the game or movie.

  • How I responded:

I did so much research and talked to people to look at the reality. There are differences between being an animator and other jobs. But to assure you it is a real job. Many things that are not considered "real jobs" are actual jobs or can become jobs!

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • I come from an immigrant family. Since I was the first to go to college, I wanted to learn about the system and what to do so I can help any of my family that decide to go to college.
