Problem Solving

Day to Day

I have very few "typical" work days. I lead business development activities for CDM Smith, building project teams and preparing proposals for competitive solicitations for planning and engineering projects. I also lead project work. I participate in many meetings and work sessions to work through mobility challenges to quantify the performance of various alternatives that support safe and efficient transportation while minimizing impacts to the human and natural environment.

Hurdles

The Noise I Shed

From Peers:

"I'm a trained project manager, and I've managed many transportation projects, including both planning and engineering design projects. I've received criticism that, 'You're a planner, you shouldn't be guiding engineering work.'"
