I maintain computers, networks, security and software on a large complex network.
My typical day started by checking servers and network connections, checking incident logging software (Help-desk tickets), and emails. If there were any emergency issues, I would address them immediately. Then I walked through the various service centers to check in and provide support as needed. After that I would handle routine service requests, maintenance, and upgrades. At different points during the day, I would research future deployment, upgrades, and software evaluation.
