Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Myself:

What are you going to do with a degree in Government?

  • How I responded:

I became involved in a political campaign and then worked as an intern in a legislative office. I was put on the payroll within a year and ending up running part of a Congressional campaign and worked 2 years at the U.S. House of Representatives before becoming a lobbyist for a large and prominent trade association. It took 10 years in the public sector and working in campaigns to end up working for a trade association.
