Here's the first step for everyone
Dedication. Study in details your area of working. Listen more than speak. You are a new beginner, so the others can tell you valuable things. Be resilient, and avoid procrastination. Invest on networking (summits, conference, happy hours, workshops). You definitely need to meet as much professionals you can.
