  • 4.

Took a communication class and thought this is something I can do and eventually declared it as my major. (College- second semester Sophomore)

  • 5.

For fun decided to take a graphic design class just to fill a credit and realized I loved it. (College- Junior)

  • 6.

Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

    Messages from Society in general:

"Communication major is the easiest major there is! What do you even do learn how to talk and what are you going to do with it?"

  • How I responded:

Communication may be very broad but that is part of the beauty. Find what you like about it and run with it. And to all those people that think a Communication major is the "easy way out", if communication was so easy then why are there so many arguments, misunderstandings and even break ups because of a lack of communication?

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • In third grade I found out that I have dyslexia. This makes reading and spelling more difficult. As I grew up school was hard therefor I didn't like it. Over time I have found that if I take my time and do a couple extra edits people don't notice.
