My path in life took a while to figure out

  • 1.

    Attended UCF to be an electrical engineer.

  • 2.

    Was put on academic probation at UCF.

  • 3.

    Changed majors to statistics and actuary science.

  • 4.

    Graduated from UCF in less than four years still. On the day of my last final was my first interview at Travelers.

  • 5.

    Started Working at Travelers on February 2016 as a claim handler.

  • 6.

    July 2016, I was diagnosed with cancer.

  • 7.

    February 2017, I came back to work after treatment ended.

  • 8.

    February 2018, started new role on First Party Medical team

  • Being diagnosed with cancer at 22 years old, 5 months into my job was very difficult. I was out of the office for 7 months going through treatment and doctor appointments. Coming back and having to learn everything again was hard.
