How I responded:
When you know that's what you want to do, follow your heart. Sometimes the path doesn't follow conventional patterns, or even make sense. There's a line from a movie - If all you can think about is writing, then you're a writer. You should write. Whether it's business, music, teaching, or working with your hands; if that's what drives you, you need to do that and ignore everyone else. Sometimes you have to do something to help pay the bills, but you follow your heart for life's main thing.
