My road in life took a while to figure out.
I wanted to be a gym teacher
and worked full-time when I was in college as a car detailer then an elevator mechanic.
Wanted to learn about business and switched specialization to business instead of health / PE
Got a job as a Computer Teacher in an inner city school
Found out that I liked working with challenging students
Decided to start my own school so that I can do things the way I wanted

Day to Day

I spend most of my day ensuring that logistically we are aligned to the mission and vision of the school. I enjoy interacting with students so I facilitate student government club and a wrestling club so that I stay grounded and engaged with students.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

Get out there and see all of the different types of schools and educational paths that are out there. Schooling is becoming more privatized as time goes on. A new teacher could find a school that really aligns to their values and personal beliefs. Colleges teach a very typical educational approach through their course work. Education is a large world now.
