Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Teachers:
A teacher came up to me in front of my friends when I did an extra year to retake my exams & said, why am I wasting my time at school. I passed all those exams with flying colours and went on to college. It really knocked my confidence but I pushed through
How I responded:
I was full of self doubt as a kid but I also had a stubborn drive that I let shout over the noise. Just be a mule until you can become a thoroughbred.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I was dyslexic which meant I was in low sets at school and suffered confidence issues, but it was also a gift as it made me see the world in a unique way and gave me empathy. Use your struggle, its what gives you fuel to your visions
