Learning / Being Challenged

Day to Day

Working with like-minded individuals who share the same passion to help others and expand a concept that is first tried in Asia. Habitat ReStore is the first in the Philippines, Asia and a developing country. We wish to share this new endeavor and continue to build our network of supporters among growing numbers of donors, shoppers and volunteers.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for professionals

Be open minded and prepared to take on challenges. I was fortunate to have experience working in the US with Habitat for Humanity for over 3 years. When I moved to the Philippines, I thought it would be easy to take on a similar role. However, things are much different in terms of culture and expectations. Even though I had experience with ReStore, I literally had to start from scratch and build this operation from the ground up.
