Watching over 200 plus students may seem like a daunting task, but the rewards of seeing the "ah-ha" moments and knowing that you are making a difference in so many lives are indescribable. Motivating students to do their best, working hard to understand the challenges they face on a case by case basis, and witnessing as their hopes and dreams unfold leaves one with a sense of accomplishment.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for middle school students

Take an interest in as many learning opportunities as possible. Fly an airplane, learn to play an instrument, skydive if you can. The more you have to share the better. Students want to see more than a teacher, they want to see a life that is worth working toward.
