A great day at work, for me, would involve problem solving and using soft skills to provide difficult news to customers and also finding the best option to better advocate for the customer.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

The most important first step would be to gain as much customer service experience as possible. If at all possible, while working at a call center, ask to shadow or to do a side-by-side with an associate to pick up on tips on how to explain difficult situations to the customer.
