Milestones

My road in life has taken me all over.
First I tried management in the entertainment industry. Then I when to marketing in the industry.
When the recession hit, I went to my trade which was in the medical field, stayed there for 2 years.
Then I went to marketing for small businesses. That was okay, but I found that I desired more.
So I then went to helping aspiring entrepreneurs start their own business.
Currently still doing that, even facilitated a workshop on it. Kinda became interested in travel.
So I became a licensed travel agent to sell travel. This is a full time career for some, but not me.
Fashion is a passion so I launched my own style company where I provide style services.
I am also currently writing a book on how to start a business to establish myself as an expert.

Day to Day

I own two companies, one that's a marketing firm and the other is a style company. My marketing firm, I am currently writing my book on how to start a business, so I am currently working on assignments from my writing coach that requires research. I also have my style company where I create style boards to post, research current fashion for weekly segment posts on social media. I create blog post for my blog for my weekly blog post as well.

Skills & Qualities Beyond School

It comes with trial and error, which is how I learned. I took many e-learning workshops and attended workshops, some which applied to my industry and my companies, some that didn't.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for high school students

Narrowing down exactly what they want to do. Be very specific because both industries I work are so broad.
