I've taken a lot of twists and turns
1.
I immigrated to the United States when I was 8 years old.
2.
At 27, I got married. We've been married for 16 years now, and have 3 children.
3.
I started my first company after getting my MBA. It was an environmental consulting firm.
4.
I launched a mobile app start-up in 2011. I self-funded it.
5.
I had to shut down my mobile app start-up in 2016. Learned not to personalize failure.
6.
Have a new career plan. Still an entrepreneur at heart. Just enjoy solving complex problems.
Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
I don't have any special skills that makes me unique. Even though failure is more accepted now, people still judge me.
How I responded:
It's okay to conform sometimes, but don't ever let go of your dreams. But if you conform, even temporarily, do the best there. You work for yourself, and should take pride in everything you do.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Funded my own start-up. Lost my money. Now rebuilding again!
