How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
You do not have a college degree so you can't do that job.
How I responded:
I went and got my Business Process Management certification. I became a subject matter expert and built up my confidence. I posted for jobs that needed a college degree. I told the interviewer after they met me, I didn't have a degree. My experience and knowledge made up for the lack of a degree.
