My path in life took a while to figure out

    First I struggled in school.

  • 2.

    Then I was diagnosed with dyslexia.

  • 3.

    Then I got help from dyslexia education specialists that helped me cope with dyslexia.

  • 4.

    Then I began to excel and made my way to High School.

  • 5.

    Then I invented the new word that means awesome and amazing. The word is Honkenbonkers!

  • 6.

    Then the word became popular in my school and I formed a company to promote the word.

  • 7.

    Then my word was named in the Wall Street Journal as a new word to watch.

  • 8.

    Then the word continued to grow in popularity and continues to expand!

  • How I responded:

    I ignored the noise. I knew I was right. I believed that my new word for awesome and amazing would be used commonly. I was determined to prove the doubters wrong. I knew the noise and doubts would stop once I proved them wrong!

  • I am severely dyslexic. I overcame this disability by getting extra help from my family, dyslexia specialists, and my teachers. I still struggle every day with this disability. But I just had to push through these struggles and work extra hard.
