Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
Found out how much I loved to write in 7th grade.
Was overcome with anxiety, and depression by high school. I quit when I was 16, and took GED.
Received my high school diploma and proceeded to college. Without the proper supports couldn't cope.
I worked a series of small jobs, got married, and started a family.
Discovered blogging.
Still love blogging, advocating, and discussing ideas.
Keep following my journey

Day to Day

An average day for me is waking up to the happy face of my profoundly autistic son whom I homeschool. I do household duties, and errands, as well as homeschool my teenaged daughter with dyslexia. My 14 year old autistic son goes to public school. I also answer phones for my husband's business. In all that craziness I try to find time for doing what I love most- writing.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for high school students

Just start writing. Write, and write, and then share, and share. Find a mentor, or teacher that sees your potential. Be open to criticism, and compliments.

Recommended Education

My career is not related to what I studied. I'd recommend this path instead:
