Day to Day
My day is filled with a lot of ordinary things but I get to use my imagination a lot. Sometimes it looks like I'm doing nothing but I'm creating in my mind. Other times I'm in front of my computer typing out my stories for my books or editing them. Sometimes I'm working on cover art for them. Sometimes I'm promoting my book through social media or a website I created and manage. Sometimes I am simply discussing books with people.
Advice for Getting Started
Here's the first step for middle school students
In middle school we had creative writing for the first time. It's also when you really start to discover who you are and what you're good at. Middle school showed me a creative outlet where I could be myself without being picked on or judged on how bad my grammar or spelling was because the story was more important. Also that's when I learned to type which was a big plus.
