Milestones
My road in life took a while to figure out.
Major in Pre dental and realized I hated chemistry so I changed to advertising.
Moved to San Francisco and started selling main frame computers when Apple was first starting.
Took a transfer to Southern California and took a job at ad agency marketing movies on DVDS.
Changed to selling ads for W magazine and Conde Nast for 15 years.
Wrote a book "The 7 Most Powerful Selling secrets" and became a motivational / sales speaker.
Went out on my own to be a sales coach / funding strategist to help start ups get funding.

Day to Day
My day is a combination of attracting new clients, converting prospects to clients and delivering on the consulting and coaching clients I have. 1/3 of my time is working on my Facebook ads campaign to attract the right clients i.e. Tech CEOs who need funding; 1/3 is having phone calls and strategy sessions with them to see where they are and where they want to go and what the roadblocks are to see how I can help. The remaining time is coaching them on how to sell themselves, their company and product.

Find out who you can help and what problem you can solve for them. That is they key to being a consultant. Then find someone to coach you on building a coaching business.
