Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
I floundered. Felt shame for not knowing. Did not ask questions because I didn't want to expose myself.
Realized no one could make my life but me. I needed to figure out how to participate.
Traveled. Got to know others in an honest way. Watched and felt, a lot.
Felt what lit me up. Got my heart beating with curiosity and excitement.
Selected formal and informal studies to prepare me to be able to be knowledgeable and helpful.
Gave what I could when I could while staying open to learning from every circumstance and situation.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for high school students

Appreciate the time it takes to get clear with yourself. There is much more involved than institutional "education" to be able to be helpful. See yourself. Take responsibility for what is yours. Learn compassion for being imperfect. Appreciate the effort to be honest in becoming yourself.
