Advice for Getting Started
Here's the first step for professionals
Start writing and get up in front of people. Writing and public speaking are a lot like playing a musical instrument: They require constant practice. Also, get to know why businesses and business leaders make the decisions they do. I had a few great mentors who were business leaders, and they helped me understand the world in ways I never suspected.
