Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
Grew up in a household where education was the end goal.
Fell in love with all things creative in HS like photography, fibers art, materials art, etc.
Got into college at BGSU majoring in interior design.
Realized BGSU and the major wasn't structured enough for my personality.
Transferred to University of Cincinnati majoring in Marketing and Management.
Graduated and took first job offered to me doing staffing / recruiting.
After less than a year, realized I wasn't fulfilling my career goals and found Hobsons.
Been with Hobsons since 2006, growing as Hobsons grew.

Day to Day

On a daily basis, I am assisting my team members to manage their clients and their projects. I wear a few "hats" in my job three of which I find most important 1.) client services; 2.) handling complex / difficult situations and proactively identifying risks and; 3.) mentoring my team members. My favorite part of my job is mentoring people who truly want to be mentored in order to increase their performance and enhance their passions.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

Identifying whether or not client services is something that you are interested in is extremely important. We work with clients of many sizes, resources and knowledge and being someone who is flexible and patient would be great with client services. The Project Management side of my job is finding a balance between the flexibility and being task-oriented in order to keep internal and client resources departments on task. As a Manager of Implementation Services, finding that balance is important.
