I coordinate future and and day to day events and manage the staff at the Seattle Cinerama.
My day begins by opening the theater and prepping the staff on the events of the day. I will have conference calls with movie studios and coordinate renting prints and drives. During showtime I oversee the staff and troubleshoot the inevitable malfunctions that occur with either popcorn machines or the projector or any number of things. Before certain screenings I will give a little information on the film being shown and talk about other upcoming events.
Here's the first step for high school students
Just starting with what you have to work with and going for it full force. Talk to people about your interests and be open to opportunities. There is no place too low to start pursuing your dream.
