My path in life has been direct

With both of my parents working in finance, I grew up around the industry, but it wasn’t until college that I began to see it as a path for myself.
2.
At George Washington University, I found that finance brought together two things I enjoyed: working with numbers and making a thoughtful argument.
3.
A college friend introduced me to investment banking and I began networking and preparing for the field before landing a summer internship.
4.
I received a return offer after my internship but knew the firm wasn’t the right fit for me—so I trusted that instinct and started my career at Bank of America instead.
5.
My first investment banking assignment happened to involve Ares, giving me an early connection to the company that would eventually shape my career.
6.
After two years in investment banking, I raised my hand for an opportunity at Ares and spent three years investing in and learning about different companies.
7.
I raised my hand again to move into corporate strategy, where I could work across the firm and help tackle new opportunities for strategic growth.
