Life & Career Milestones
I've taken a lot of twists and turns
1.
I came to Washington, D.C. from New York with dreams of becoming a diplomat, and studied international politics at Georgetown.
2.
Graduating into the Great Recession forced me to get creative, so I joined a startup in communications, even though it wasn't part of my original plan.
3.
That first job taught me how to communicate persuasively and adapt quickly, skills I never learned in diplomacy school.
4.
I pivoted into the nonprofit world at a think tank, where I first witnessed the power of young people shaping democracy.
5.
Working at the Center for American Progress showed me how my communications background could fuel civic change.
6.
I took a leap and helped build Future Caucus, a startup-like space where young lawmakers could bridge divides and lead with purpose.
7.
Every day, I help young elected officials focus on generational identity, not party lines, to shape a democracy that works for all of us.
