Life & Career Milestones
My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
I started my career in investment banking, driven by the need to be financially independent while living in New York City.
2.
After two years in finance, I realized I didn’t enjoy the content, so I began exploring other departments like communications and philanthropy.
3.
My first major pivot was into investor relations at a hedge fund, where I was exposed to the world of corporate philanthropy through the firm’s foundation.
4.
I realized I had found my passion when I started getting involved with the foundation’s work, which felt more fulfilling and aligned with my values.
5.
After being offered the role of executive director of the foundation, I deferred my MBA and took on the challenge of running the foundation, gaining invaluable experience.
6.
Though I loved the role, I ultimately decided to return to school to deepen my skillset and understanding of the social enterprise space.
7.
Today, as the Global Head of Citizenship at Apollo, I bridge the gap between finance and social impact, overseeing global initiatives that empower employees and communities.
