Life & Career Milestones

My path in life has been direct

  • 1.

Growing up, I was a good student but no one talked to me about going to college.

  • 2.

After high school, I dabbled in different experiences before deciding to go to community college to earn my associate degree.

  • 3.

I got my start in the education field when one of my professors reached back out after becoming a dean at another college and offered me a job.

  • 4.

I was intent on learning and doing as much as I could at that job so that when I was recruited for my next higher education position, I was prepared to take on more responsibilities.

  • 5.

I worked in the financial aid department of that next school and then expanded to a larger role at Northeastern University.

  • 6.

I continued to work my way up through various positions in the higher education field before ultimately joining American Student Assistance.

  • 7.

I currently serve as the president and CEO of American Student Assistance, where we’re focused on helping students learn about their passions and interests, and align them with potential careers.
