Day In The Life Of A Senior Vice President Of A Charitable Foundation

My Day to Day

I spend my days fostering career mobility and talent development through entrepreneurship. I oversee programs like Launchpad, helping students, especially first-generation and underrepresented individuals, gain critical entrepreneurial skills and career exposure. From coordinating internships to building partnerships with HBCUs and nonprofits, every day is about empowering the next generation to succeed in a rapidly evolving workforce.

Life & Career Milestones

My path in life has been direct

  • 1.

    I grew up learning the value of hard work and entrepreneurship from my parents, with my mom running a small business and being active in the community.

  • 2.

    After college, I landed my first job at MTV Networks in the advertising department, where I discovered the potential of corporate social responsibility.

  • 3.

    Inspired by the intersection of business and social impact, I pursued an MBA at Columbia, focusing on social enterprise and entrepreneurship.

  • 4.

    I spent nearly a decade at Echoing Green, supporting social entrepreneurs through a fellowship model that emphasized leadership and community.

  • 5.

    Moving to the Blackstone Charitable Foundation, I now focus on workforce development, helping young people build entrepreneurial skills and access career opportunities.

  • 6.

    One of my proudest achievements has been leading the LaunchPad program, which has placed over 275 students in paid internships across Blackstone and its portfolio companies.
