Milestones
My road in life took a while to figure out.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time on the computer but hadn’t really considered a career in tech.
When I graduated high school, I felt rushed to find a job and start making money.
I was able to quickly get a role in security.
While working security, I eventually started feeling like I wanted to pivot, as there wasn’t much room to move around and grow.
I attended Per Scholas, where I earned my CompTIA A+ certification.
Shortly after graduating, I landed my first technology job.
It’s my goal to keep learning, earning certifications, and growing my career in tech.

I work overnight from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Each shift begins with a review of emails to anticipate any scheduled outages, as maintenance typically unfolds during the quieter night hours. My responsibilities include patching servers to ensure our clients' systems run smoothly. Utilizing scripts for routine maintenance, I balance between direct action and notifying clients of issues. When work slows, I study for certifications, making each shift a step toward professional and personal fulfillment.
