My road in life has taken me all over.
I grew up in Denmark.
When I got to college, I knew I wanted to pursue a pathway that allowed me the most flexibility to explore different areas.
I earned my master’s degree in architecture, design, and engineering followed by a Ph.D. in performative environments.
I began my career working in architecture, starting with designing the original concept for a concert hall and university music department in Aalborg, Denmark.
From there, I went on to contribute to projects in the U.S., Mexico, China, Austria, Denmark, and France.
I spent a couple of years working in robotics and helping to scale startups—however, I didn’t find the work meaningful enough, so I decided to try something new.
I joined the LEGO Learning Institute, where I worked to bridge the gap between research and practice in regards to children’s development, creativity, and play.
After a few years, I transitioned to the LEGO Foundation, where I started as a director and worked my way up to my current position of vice president and chair of Learning through Play.
Keep following my journey
