Life & Career Milestones
My path in life has been direct
1.
At 16, I spent a summer as a runner on Wall Street, an experience that opened my eyes to where I wanted my career to go.
2.
I became an investment banker and spent 13 years at a Wall Street firm, eventually becoming co-head of investment banking.
3.
When the firm was forced out of business in 1990, I faced one of the biggest pivots of my career and had to figure out what came next.
4.
After finding success in the investment world, I became increasingly involved in nonprofits and focused more of my energy on helping others.
5.
In 2008, I founded the Data and Analytics program at the Wharton School, years before AI transformed how we think about technology and work.
6.
I realized globalization, technology, longevity, and education were dramatically changing employment, so I decided to do something about it.
7.
I founded WorkingNation, a nonprofit media organization, to help people understand the changes and opportunities shaping the future of work.
8.
After nearly a decade leading WorkingNation, I donated our content to Jobs for the Future and joined its board to keep advancing this work.
