About Amina

I pursued a telecommunications major, blending journalism, law, and engineering, and sparking my interest in tech policy.
Early in my career, I worked in tech journalism and public relations, gaining insights into storage technology's impact on streaming media.
After the September 11 attacks, I helped craft policy ensuring victim families could access compensation, which highlighted the power of policy change.
My experience at the Bar Association exposed me to the intersection of law and real-life challenges faced by low-income families.
I joined Common Sense Media to advocate for safer online experiences for children and families in the evolving tech landscape.
In this position and my career, I remain dedicated to balancing innovation with thoughtful policy to protect consumers and create equitable tech ecosystems.
