About Roy
- I joined the U.S. Marines at 17, seeking direction and adventure over a traditional education.
- I traveled the world with the Marines, gaining a broad perspective and invaluable experiences that shaped my outlook on life.
- When it was time to either reenlist or leave the military, I decided to transition out—I loved my time in the military but I decided I wanted to prioritize my family.
- After my military service, I transitioned to law enforcement because it seemed like the best fit—I was drawn to the structure and familiarity it offered me as a former Marine.
- I spent seven years with the sheriff’s office before shifting careers to firefighting, finding my true calling.
- I became deeply involved in my local community as a firefighter, appreciating the chance to impact lives directly and meaningfully.
