About Heaven
- At age 14, I started working with the East Oakland Youth Development Center (EOYDC) as a youth leader, working first with kindergarteners.
- I evolved from a youth leader to an advisor, shaping young minds and fostering a supportive environment.
- In my fourth year with EOYDC, I worked as a communications coordinator and took on greater responsibilities, managing events and connecting with families.
- Navigating high school during the pandemic, I adapted to online learning and maintained my commitment to EOYDC.
- I witnessed my sister's birth, which inspired me to want to become a sonographer.
- I'm now about to enter college where I’ll be focused on entering the medical field, driven by my experiences and the desire to make an impact.
