About Mark
- I earned my bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in sales and marketing.
- After graduating, I started my career in technical sales.
- I eventually realized that my passion actually lied in education, so I decided to make a career change.
- I began my career in education as a math and business teacher.
- I taught for nine years and then moved into an assistant principal role.
- As assistant principal, I started more as a dean and managed some curricular activities, and then I transitioned to serving in more of an assistant to the principal role.
- After that, I moved up to serve as a principal, which I did for about 10 years.
- I then moved up to superintendent—I started as the superintendent of a small school district, then a mid-sized district, and now I’m superintendent of the largest public school district in Indiana.
